Sebastian V. Martorana papers, 1962-1989.

The collection contains Professor Martorana's professional papers documenting his work on community colleges and higher education during his years teaching at the Pennsylvania State University, 1972-1989, plus five folders documenting his attendance at State Director's of Junior Colleges and Coordinators of State Systems conferences, 1962-1966. The bulk of the collection documents Martorana's involvement in education conferences, funding proposals, professional organizations, research projects, and the Penn State Center for the Study of Higher Education. He also retained files of correspondence, files on federal government agencies concerning education, and journal articles he submitted for publication. There are no personal or family papers in this collection. Organizations represented include American Association of Community and Junior Colleges, American Association for Higher Education, American Council for Education, American Institutes for Research, Association for the Study of Higher Education, Center for Intergenerational Learning, North Carolina Association of Colleges and Universities, and State Higher Education Executive Officers.
