Dentist, scientist, researcher, writer, environmental activist and feminist, Vilma Rose (Dalton-Webb) Hunt was born in 1926 in Sydney, Australia. She received her A.M. in physical anthropology from Radcliffe College (1958) and was a scholar at the Radcliffe Institute for Independent Study (1961-1963).
