Consumer complaints, constituent and legislative correspondence, notes, drafts of bills, court documents, Office of Legislative Research reports, Attorney General reports, articles, scrapbooks, photographs and other materials collected or produced by John J. Woodcock III as he worked to pass the nation's first "lemon law" in Connecticut. The law was designed to protect consumers from faulty automobiles. Correspondents include Frank McLaughlin, Philip Nowicki, Ruth Stockton and Irving Stolberg.
