Morgan, Bayard Quincy, 1883-

Morgan earned his Ph.D. from the University of Leipzig in 1907. He taught at the University of Wisconsin from 1907 to 1934, when he joined the Stanford faculty as head of the German department. He focused on the field of translation and published a large number of translations of German literary works. He was appointed Professor Emeritus in 1948. He died in 1967.
