Personal reminiscences [typescript], ca. 1947.

Typescript autobiography entitled "Personal Reminiscences," written by architect Walter H. Kilham of Boston, Mass in 1937. The autobiography pertains to Kilham's life from 1868-1942, and includes descriptions of his childhood in Beverly, Mass.; a trip by train to visit his brother Edward's farm in California, 1883; his studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and in Europe; trips to Europe and Mexico; and time spent with his wife Jane Houston and his children Jeannette, Teresa, Walter, Peter, Aline, and Lawrence Kilham. Also includes descriptions of design jobs completed by his companies Kilham and Hopkins, and Kilham, Hopkins, and Greeley; his role in the Boston Chamber of Commerce; and includes typescript copies of letters from some of his children commenting on the autobiography. Both volumes contain clippings, memorabilia, postcards, photographs, drawings, and photomechanical prints relating to Kilham's life, work, family, and travels.
