The David C. Harrison Papers document the International Water Summit Conference for the Red River Valley of the North, including its philosophical and organizational origins and its immediate effects. One file also concerns the Monongahela River Basin Project, which Harrison worked on following the Red River Valley case. Materials include articles by Harrison and others, speeches, reports, press releases, brochures and programs, financial records, meeting minutes, mailing lists, newsletters, newspaper clippings, Harrison's resume and a bibliography. Correspondence includes letters to and from Red River Valley community leaders, and other water policy experts. One file contains "Do We Need a National Water Policy Process?" a 1981 report by Harrison to the U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of Water Research and Technology.
