Second Church (Boston, Mass.) photographs, ca. 1884-1939.

Photographs of the buildings and activities of Second Church (Boston, Mass.), a Congregational and later Unitarian church. Most of the photographs depict the Church's annual Christmas Pageants, 1921-1939. There are also a number of photographs of the Church's 7th location in Copley Square and its 8th location on Beacon Street, as well as various clergy and choir members, among other subjects. Many of the pageant photographs were taken by Mary Patten; most of the other photographers are unknown. Some of the photographs in this collection are duplicates. All of the photographs are black-and-white and paper-based. Includes engraving and photomechanical prints.
