Record group 87-145 consists of the minutes of the meetings of the Michigan Dept. of Licensing and Regulation, Board of Medicine for 1975-July, 1976. The Board of Medicine was created by Act 237, Public Acts of 1899, and codified in Act 368, Public Acts of 1978 to provide for the licensure and examination of persons prior to engaging in the practice of allopathic medicine and to provide penalties for violations of the act. The minutes provide the members who were present, the date of the meeting, and shows the results of elections to offices. The minutes also tell which resolutions the Board adopted, who went before the Board for dishonest conduct, and testimony given at disciplinary hearings. The minutes also indicate who was granted a license to practice and who was turned down.
