Clara Duncan papers, 1899-1920s.

Dr. Clara Kocher Duncan (1878-1964) was born in White Haven, Pennsylvania and later moved to Texas where she became a medical doctor. This collection includes her 1919 University of Texas yearbook "The Cactus" for which she was editor-in-chief; a photocopy of her portrait; and typescript poems from the 1920s written by her patients. An oversize box contains her 1899 high school diploma from Houston, Texas; her 1919 medical diploma from University of Texas; and her 1919 Texas medical license.

These slides were transferred to the Briscoe Center from the Harry Ransom Center in 2008.
