A collection of materials pertaining to the military career of General Robert M. Lee. Within the collection are personal and official correspondence including memorandums from General Lee as commander of the 9th Air Force. Of particular importance is a copy of the "Report of inspection trip to France, Italy, Germany, Holland, and England, made during the winter of 1921-1922 by Brigadier General William Mitchell, First Lieutenant Clayton Bissell and Aeronautical Engineer Alfred Verville." Speeches, an interview, video tapes, and photographs taken of Lee as Chief of Staff in Korea complete the collection.

A graduate of West Point, Robert M. Lee received his wings in 1932 and was one of the Air Corps pilots flying the treacherous airmail route in 1934. As a Captain, Lee attended the Air Corps Tactical School and, in 1941, he became chief of corps aviation.
