[Herbert B. Miller Motion Picture Collection] [motion picture]. ca. 1920-ca. 1959.

This collection of home movies begins on 9.5 mm. in the 1920s, and continues on 16 mm. through the 1930s. Most of the footage is of vacations, including Yellowstone National Park, Victoria, Alaska, San Francisco, the Yosemite area, and the San Diego and San Francisco world's fairs. There are trips around Oregon, including Mount Hood, the beach, Crater Lake, central Oregon, and the Columbia River gorge. Several of the films have been edited with intertitles, possibly as presents for friends of the Miller family. The collection also includes some short news and documentary films manufactured for the home market.
