Collection consists of three handwritten letters from Stowe. An 1846 letter written from Ohio to S. H. Riddel of the American Education Society describes the growth of the West; an 1865 letter to Vice-President Henry Wilson declines an invitation; an 1878 letter to Stowe's sister Sarah describes his health.
