Comprises 2 autograph letters from Brodie to Charles Taylor dated 2 April 1812 and to an unnamed recipient dated 21 October 1852 (with a transcript for the former), 1 autograph receipt from Thomas Brodie dated 12 February 1802 concerning money received from William Inglis Taylor and naming Mr John Ball, surgeon of Edinburgh, 1 autographed printed portrait of Brodie as Queen Victoria's surgeon with a typed caption, 2 obituaries from the Daily Telegraph of 24 October 1862 and Fisher Unwin's biography in 'Masters of Medicine', 1898, and 1 undated press account of 'A lecture at St. Vincent's Hospital'.
