Iowa State's Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC) was formed in 1973 as the Student Alumni Association (SAA), as part of the Alumni Association. SALC offers current ISU students the opportunity to participate in leadership roles responsible for sponsoring, planning, and coordinating events for ISU students, alumni, the Ames community, and prospective students.
