The Corporate Advertising and Sales Promotion series contains three subseries. The Corporate Advertising Manager records subseries, 1949-1965 (1.8 cubic ft.), Acc. 1060, Acc. 1179, contains records regarding Ford Motor Company corporate advertising. Accession 1060 contains institutional advertising proposals prepared by Kenyon & Eckhardt, Inc. from 1949 to 1962; press books regarding the television shows Leonard Bernstein in Moscow, Russia and Leonard Bernstein in Venice, Italy in 1959; proposals from eight different advertising agencies vying to introduce the new line of cars for the Special Products Division in 1955; 1957 press packet of the introduction of the Edsel; and a kit which helped Edsel dealers establish a national used car program. Accession 1179 contains a booklet regarding the selection of an advertising agency for the Special Products Division produced by the General Sales and Marketing office in 1955; intra-company communications regarding procedures governing donation, loans, or price concessions on the sale of vehicles to television, motion picture, and radio talent or for tie-in promotions; and quarterly reports on vehicle donations, loans, and price concessions. The Corporate Identity Office records subseries, 1969-1971 (2 volumes), Acc. 1681, contains two manuals for all Ford Motor Company trademarks, trade names, and brand names outlining the design standards and systems to present a unified, attractive, and readily recognizable appearance in all of Ford Motor Company's visual communications. The Publicity Promotion Reports subseries, 1959-1962 (4 oversize boxes) contains publicity promotion reports for the television shows Ford Startime and Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic.
