Collection consists of photocopies of three manuscript poems composed by Charlotte Perkins Gilman and biologist Francis Bertody Sumner during the summer of 1898 at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York. Topics concern a kingfisher, John D. Jones (donor of the laboratory's land and buildings), and the feminine and masculine minds. At the time Gilman used the name Charlotte Perkins Stetson.
