Elizabeth Porter Gould papers, 1766-1906; bulk: 1903-1906.

The papers of women's author Elizabeth Porter Gould consist primarily of a scrapbook, 1903-1906, containing correspondence and reviews relating to Gould's books and other writings. The scrapbook also contains letters and accounts relating to the erection and dedication of a memorial stone in 1905 in the Granary Burial Ground, Boston, for Gould's ancestor Ezekiel Cheever. Additional clippings and letters, many from Elisha Eldridge, also relate to the Cheever memorial stone. The 1766 item in the collection is the appointment of Francis Choate as guardian to ward Sarah Cheever.
