Certificate of election to Congress, 1870, signed by John Palmer. Papers re: pension for Judeah Walker Robinson, his wife, who received the first certificate for pension for the soldiers or widows of soldiers of the Mexican War.

Born in Paris, Illinois but moved to Clark County in 1825 with his parents, served in the Mexican War, taught school while he studied the law, admitted to the bar in 1850 and started a practice in Marshall County.
