Land patent, April 11, 1831 and deed of purchase, May 18, 1831, signed by Reynolds, for property purchased by Robert Peebles in Vandalia in 1828. Also signed by A.P. Field, Secretary of State. Letter, Oct. 17, 1831, to John T. Stuart appointing him to assist William Thomas in preparing government report on the Indian disturbances on the Rock River. Contracts, Aug. 10 and 29, 1837, for construction of the first railroad in Illinois. They are signed by Reynolds, Thomas Toner and Jacob Thomas. Other signers are Michael Lonergan, John Corcoran, G.E. Walker, S.B. Chandler and D. Pierce.
