Young letters, 1855-1864.

There are approximately 60 letters (1861-1864) from Hubert Perry Young to his wife, Elizabeth Johnson Young, written while Hubert was serving in the Union Army during the Civil War. Elizabeth was at home in Wisconsin and Hubert was stationed at various places in the South. Also includes letters to Elizabeth from her brothers, Matthew L. Johnson (1855-1860) and Charles H. Johnson (1855-1856) of a social nature and about family issues. There are also a few letters to Elizabeth from Robert and Amelia Lee and Theodoria M. Prindle.
