Contains a brief history of Spain; a brief declaration or treatise of the nobility, with an appendix about the state of Christians, Jews, and Moors; a history of the coming of St. James to Spain; a history of the Orden de Santiago (Order of St. James of the Sword) and its foundation. Includes a history of the Order's "maestres" and its descendants, as well as its convents and properties. There are also numerous copies of documents of properties, privileges, donations, foundations, etc. relating to the Order. This work is more extensive than the 73ff. found in the edition published as Crónica de las tres órdenes de Santiago, Calatrava y Alcántara (Toledo : J. de Ayala, 1572. Cf. Palau 246034).
