Arna Bontemps letters, ca. 1936-1963.

The collection consists of five letters, including: four letters (with envelopes) to Clarence Major, 1962-1963, chronicling Major's contribution to Bontemps' anthology, American Negro poetry. Also, to the Seattle Journal, ca. 1936, asking for a copy of the Journal that included a review of his novel, Black Thunder, with a clipping of the review.
