This record of Sterrett's life is an original typescript of letters and excerpts from Sterrett's diaries that was typed and edited by Kenneth O. Shrewsbury, Jr. in 1995. There is a small number of letters of his wife, Josephine M. Quarrier, and his daughters Anassa and Phoebe. In most cases the original letter is included in the binders, or there is a photocopy of it. The letters contain Sterrett's impressions of his travels in Great Britain, Germany, Greece and Turkey. They also deal with the family, especially the education of his daughters, including Daphne and Marika.
