Errors of the reprinted edition of Shakspeare, 1623 [manuscript], 1808-1809.

Autograph notes by William Upcott of typographical errors noted in comparing the "pretended reprinted facsimile first edition of Shakspeare with the original first edition of 1623." Notes compiled between September 5, 1808 and January 28, 1809 at the suggestion of Professor Porson and later bound. Notes by Upcott on the circumstances of this work on recto of second front end-leaf (dated Dec. 25, 1821 from the London Institution, Moorfields) and pasted on verso of front fly-leaf. Three items laid in after first front end-leaf: an autograph letter signed from C.H. Godly, on embossed letterhead of the Grammar School, Henley on Thames, and dated Feb. 25, 1865, concerning this manuscript and the reprint/facsimile edition; a printed page with the running title A catalogue of English and Foreign Books/on sale, for cash only at 4 Bridge Place, City Road; and a note quoting a letter from Edwd Weddell "Your MS collation was purchased from Charles Matthews by the gentleman whose name you will find written on the first page, London 10th July 1849." One item laid in after second front end-leaf: autograph letter from Edwd. Weddell, 4 Bridge Place, City Road, 13th June 1849, regarding sale of this manuscript.
