Thomas De Quincey letter and partial autobiography, ca. 1820-1850.

The bound volume contains twenty handwritten pages by De Quincey, numbered 15-33, as well as a manuscript letter laid in. The letter, Tuesday Nov. 26, details arrangements of payments for some of De Quincey's work, to be paid to his son. The draft essay on German philosophy is possibly part of his Confessions of an English opium eater. Bookplate of Albert Parsons Sachs.
