The Toxic Substance Control Commission was created by Public Act 116 of 1978, and renewed by Public Act 336 of 1982 and Public Act 308 of 1984. Executive Order 1988-4 transferred the Commission from the Department of Management and Budget to the Department of Natural Resources, effective April 30, 1988.
