Fifteen legal documents written and signed by Palmer. One 1858 letter to Sam Willard discussing "Douglas" and politics. One Special Order, Sept. 3, 1862 given by Palmer. Fourteen telegrams, Oct.-Nov. 1872 re: politics from Gustave Koerner, George W. Shutt, Ozias Hatch and others. Ten appointments signed by Palmer while serving as governor. 1874 construction deed between Palmer, Morris Ketchum and William Ackerman as trustees of the Illinois Central Railroad and Ira Engart of Coles County. An 1895 letter of reference written by Palmer for James H. Fields. Three letters, 1899-1900, to his daughter, Jessie Palmer Weber re: his memoirs and living in Evanston. "Estimate of Gen. U.S. Grant." Several miscellaneous items including notes, clippings and short letters of acknowledgment from Palmer.
