John O'Hara Cosgrave II (1908-1968) was born in San Francisco, Calif., the son of Everybody's magazine editor John O"Hara Cosgrave. He attended Marin Junior College and the University of California, and in 1930 began two years of study with artist AndreĢ Lhote in Paris.
