Private men's club started on the initiative of Harold S. Walker and Maurice Biscoe. Club officially formed in 1911. Clubhouse opened in Feb. 1912 with the first theatrical production presented the following month. Club formed with two aims: a union of congenial members and acquisition of a clubhouse. Club members held a series of Christmas plays for children from 1912 until the end of WWII.
