Record group 91-190 consists of special project files of the Executive Divsion of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (and its predecessor, the Department of Conservation), for the years 1948-1983 (bulk of material dates 1968-1982). Contains correspondence, studies, maps, environmental impact statements, and proposals. These projects all deal with the creation or expansion of state or national parks within Michigan (e.g. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Porcupine Mountains State Park, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore).
