Bushnell Memorial programs include Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Program for the 1933/1934 season includes illustrations of scenery and costumes by Raoul Dufy and curtains by Joan Miró and André Masson. Parsons Theatre programs are for stage presentations at the Parsons Theatre in Hartford, Conn. Such presentations include drama, comedy, opera, operetta, vaudeville, ballet, minstrel shows, magic performances, lectures, Yiddish theater, orchestral performances, and motion pictures. Stars include Helena Modjeska, William Gillette, Al Jolson, DeWolf Hopper, Ellen Terry, Ethel Barrymore, John Drew, Lillian Russell, Lily Langtree, George M. Cohan, Maude Adams, Henry Irving, and Anna Held. Program for the inaugural performance at the Parsons, April 1, 1896 includes an article on the building, with names of architects and contractors. Parsons programs also include bound volumes of the Hunter-Bradford Players, 1905-1910, for the summer season at Parson's Theatre and seven programs from the "New Parson's Theatre," 1951-1954. Other theater groups include Poli's Theater for Hartford, Meriden, New Haven, Norwich, and Waterbury; Procter's Opera House, Hartford; Theater Works, Hartford; American Shakespeare Festival Theater, Stratford; Goodspeed Opera House, East Haddam; Eugene O'Neill Memorial Theater, Waterford; Jacques Opera House, Waterbury; Hartford Opera House; and the Loomer Opera House, Willimantic. Includes performances by Katharine Hepburn, William Gillette, and Edwin Booth. Includes some programs for French language productions.
