The Portraiture Exposition of 1912 was featured in the local newspaper. Some of the articles included in this scrapbook contain pictures of the portraits with descriptions and the history behind the subjects. Walter C. Hager collected articles about the exposition, the public viewing, and the success of the event; he wrote notes about the articles in the margins of the scrapbook. Hager also collected information and meeting minutes from the planning committee for the exposition. The volume contains handwritten and typed correspondence between Hager and community members about the event.
