Frank B. McClain's scrapbooks contain a variety of different materials that focus on his political career. The materials include newspaper clippings, political cartoons and photographs. Containing articles about McClain's campaigns, speeches and legislation, the scrapbooks are a timeline for McClain's political life from his election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives through Lieutenant Governor. Scrapbooks one and two cover McClain's term in the House of Representatives. Scrapbook three reveals information about McClain's campaign and election for Mayor of Lancaster. The final two scrapbooks, books four and five, include information about McClain's work to pass legislation pertaining to road developments, fair housing and fair pricing on necessities. He used these as his platforms as candidate for Lieutenant Governor.
