Michael O. Jones papers, 1930-196u.

The papers are comprised of two albums, primarily photographic, and several folders of photographs and manuscript material. The first album, 1930-1938, untitled, contains ca. 137 pages of photographs of Ford Motor Company plants in South Africa, Australia, India, New Zealand, and Canada. Included are aerial views, interiors and exteriors of buildings, assembly operations, and office and display areas. The second album, 1938-1956, entitled "Presence," contains ca. 112 pages of similar images, although more are aerial and exterior views; some architectural prints of buildings and grounds are also included. Most of the remaining material was originally in a deteriorated three ring binder; items were removed and placed in folders. Photographs in these folders are primarily aerial views of plants in Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Singapore. The papers also include a Michael O. Jones resume; handwritten notes; several maps, including a linen backed map of South Africa; a photograph of the home of Michael and Iris Jones in Malaya; two unidentified negatives; and several photographs of Snowshill, England. There is also an image of the Cotswold Forge, which Henry Ford moved from the Cotswold Hills area of southern England in 1930 to Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Michigan.
