Series 2 of record group RG 71-24 consists of reference materials relating to mills (1961-69). Mainly letters from the Water Resources Commission to county extension directors relating to mills, returned with comments. Also includes: clippings; summaries of information; lists of source people; descriptions of photographs; directories of saw-mills and wood using industries in Michigan; photographic prints and negatives; and related correspondence. Includes 70 b&w 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 glossy photographs with accompanying negatives and six 8 x 10 b&w glossy photographs. The 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 photographs were taken by Jon-Eric T. Stenson in 1965. One 8 x 10 is identified as the work of Clyde Allison, origin of other 8 x 10's are not known.
