Wittlake (Aug. 14, 1912-June 30, 1988) of the Arkansas State College in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, examines some of the pottery found at Ballard Mound, 19 miles south of Jonesboro and near Harrisburg, Poinsett County, Arkansas, at the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ballard.
