Program Files 1975-1984.

This series comprises records relating to the Philippines that were generated by the Secretary for East Asia office in the LCA's Division for World Mission and Ecumenism (DWME). They are from 1975-1984 and include handwritten and typewritten business correspondence, topical papers, budgets, financial correspondence, proceedings and background material from conferences and consultations, informational and promotional brochures, meeting minutes, annual reports, project grant applications and their accompanying material, and articles and reports. Records are divided into two subseries. One subseries contains records relating to projects to which the LCA provided financial assistance, as this was the LCA's primary involvement in work in the Philippines. The other subseries contains general informational materials retained by the East Asia office. This material includes general inquiries made to the LCA regarding the possibility of it establishing work in the Philippines or providing financial assistance to various nongovernmental organizations, issues concerning peace, justice and human rights, and miscellaneous articles and reports. Files are arranged alphabetically by subject.
