Biographical material, correspondence, bibliography of his publications on the Wankel engine, papers and lectures, research notes, blueprints, memorandum on engine research, including the automotive gas turbine engine, rotary and steam engines, the Stirling and Wankel engines. Born Jan. 15, 1909 in Jungingen, Germany, electrical and mechanical engineer who gained international recognition as an authority on automotive engine design and development. He patented 28 inventions and pioneered the development of the jet engine/gas turbine and the Wankel rotary engine.
