The staff at the Arkansas Library Commission in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, uses the mail to provide books to people all over the state. The primary customers are those in the twenty four counties of Arkansas that have no library or bookmobile service. The staff also catalogs approximately 500 new books that come in every month. LaNell (Susan LaNell) Compton (1917-2001) checks out a card catalog at the library.
