Lydia (Brig : 1789-1794) logbook, 1789-1790.

The logbook of the brig Lydia details a shipping voyage from Salem, Mass., to the West Indies, including stops at Guadeloupe, Cayes and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Martinique, Jan. 1789-Nov. 1790. The brig's owners were Benjamin Goodhue and Lydia Tucker; the master was Samuel Tucker; the logbook keeper was Richard Wheatland. The logbook contains inventories of the ship's cargo and notes on shipboard occupations.
