Kay Boyle (1902-1992) was an American avant garde writer and poet. The collection contains letter to Mr. Seward, 4 July 1949, concerning her difficulty receiving books and magazines in Germany; letter to Martin Gumpert, 29 May 1951, concerning his article about the real Germany; and letter to Pearl Goodwin at G.P. Putnam's Sons, 17 December 1965, concerning Werner Richter's book, Bismarck.
