Letter to friend Thomas Gregg in Iowa from Hennepin, Putnam County, Ill. where he has traveled and recently attended a "convention of our anti-slavery friends". Goes on to discuss the prospects for locating Genius of Universal Emancipation at Hennepin, of buying a printing press there and other newspapers in the area.
