Ralph Diehl photograph collection [graphic]. [1880s-1980s]

Collection of images of the Diehl family, his years in the North Dakota Legislature and group images of organizations in which Diehl was involved. There are portraits of Mr. Diehl, with his wife and sons, receiving various awards, at his seat in the legislature, on the board of Nodak Rural Electric Cooperative and NDSU's Council for Agricultural Education and Research and 60th class reunion at NDSU.

Ralph Diehl came to Hillsboro, N.D. from Harley, Iowa with his parents when a child. He graduated from North Dakota Agricultural College and taught vocational agriculture for a short time. After his marriage to Gertrude Qualsett he settled on a farm near Hillsboro. He was very active in community and civic affairs, serving on many local and regional boards. He served in the North Dakota House of Representatives from 1959 to 1970. He died at Hillsboro in 1993. From the description of ...
