The collection consists of three letters and a photographic print of Tauchnitz. Includes: letter to My dear sir, 18 Oct. 1851, with information that he is departing for Dresden and an invitation to dinner before he leaves; letter to Dear Baron, 16 July 1867, thanking him for a recent letter and sending proofs of Faust; letter to My dear Sir, 20 June 1877, thanking him for sending Whittier's Poetical writings. Also, mounted photographic portrait of Tauchnitz, ca. 1880s.
