Series 157 of record group 58-17 consists of a map (ca. 1868) of the Cass River and Bay City State Road, originally collected by the Michigan Lands Division and surveyed by Andrew Huggins. The road was authorized by Public Act 345 of 1865 and runs from the forks in the Cass River in Tuscola County to Bay City in Bay County, Michigan (T.14 N., R.6-11 E.). The map shows physical features such as Saginaw Bay, marshes, trees, Quancassee River, etc. Shows the names of some property owners. The map is 17" x 87" in size, with a scale of 35 chns. : 1 inch.
