Contains a transcribed interview that gives a detailed overview of Brady's military experiences. Contains a description of his war memorabilia, decorations, and other objects. Discusses his surprise at being one of the few selected to be a part of the 101st Airborne Division and his flight and parachute training in England. Also discusses, in great detail, his combat seen at Utah Beach, Normandy, and Bastogne, Belgium. Relates the constant vigilance needed to avoid the danger of German mines and traps throughout Belgium. Describes his platoon's involvement in the first stages of the Battle of the Ardennes (Bastogne), including destroying a group of German soldiers equipped with stolen American arms and materiel. Also discusses his participation in the liberation of Hitler's "Eagle's Nest" headquarters and Hermann Goering's private residence. Mentions the strength Brady found in living in accordance with his religious principles and the divine help derived therefrom. Also mentions the joy he found in sharing his beliefs with his fellow soldiers. Includes a reply to the Saints At War questionnaire, and a brief chronology of Brady's military experiences. Photograph shows Brady in full military dress at the end of the war.

Historical note: The First Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division was sent to Vietnam in 1965. It was the third United States Army unit to arrive. In December of 1967, the remainder of the division was deployed to Bien Hoa, South Vietnam in Operation Eagle Thrust. The 101st was the only army division ever airlifted directly into combat. Brady served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945 during World War II. Brady was assigned to the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment of the famed 101st Airborne Division.
