Contains the following type of materials: photographs. Covers the following wars: World War I (WWI), World War II (WWII). General description of the collection: The Baj-Macario photograph collection consists of European prints collected by Italian historian Dr. Gianni Baj-Macario (1898-1975). The collection also includes a small collection of World War I photographs, including high-ranking foreign military officers, artillery units and equipment, and scenes, primarily related to Baj-Macario's research interests. There is a series of World War I aerial photographs taken by an Italian reconnaissance squadron, 136 Squadriglia Aeroplani, and several oversized, composite aerial and panoramic views (all of the Italian Front). There is also an album of snapshots of a German artillery unit, Batl. aufgenommen, taken in Italy during 1943-1944.
