Unedited religious history of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem (Knights of Malta), a military-religious order of the Catholic Church. Divided into eight books numbered 1-8 which trace the historical development and establishment of Order of of Saint John of Jerusalem including accounts of various struggles in the "tierra sancta" (Holy Land) until the Order relocated to Acre. Divided into six books numbered 1-6 with a continuation of the same history as above with a focus on the Order's existence while on the island of Rhodes. Contains three books numbered 7-10, continuing the previous volume, with a focus on the Order's time on the island of Malta.
