Major files concern the North Pacific Planning Project, 1942-1944; economic evaluation of flood control benefits and costs, 1951-1952; National Outdoor Recreation Resources Review Commission, 1957-1958; economics of resources, 1962-1963; analysis of Federal credit programs, 1963; Council of Economic Advisers Committee to study the use of economic incentives for pollution abatement, 1965; Alaska Governor's Commission to study the economic and social conditions on the Pribilof Islands, 1964-1965; Federal Review Committee for Development Planning in Alaska, 1967-1969; Federal Field Committee for Development Planning in Alaska, 1964-1967; Interior Department relations with the Atomic Energy Commission, 1954-1968. There are files on forest practices and economics, including a file of a series of briefing papers for Undersecretaries David Black and Charles Luce on Interior Department policy issues. Private correspondence is from 1962-1969, with the major correspondents being Roy Bessey and Benjamin H. Kizer. There is also a collection of school papers and notebooks from Willamette University, 1924-1928, and Yale University, 1928-1932.
