Negative taken for September 13, 1959, Arkansas Gazette article "Methodist Pastor's School Gives Inspiration," F1:2. A negative of the marker on Hendrix College campus in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas. The marker shows the college history. The college was established in 1884. It merged with Henderson-Brown College of Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1929 and Galloway Female College of Searcy, Arkansas in 1933. The marker reads, "Hendrix College established 1884. Hendrix College began when Central Collegiate Institute at Altus, Arkansas was bought by the Methodist Church in 1884. Renamed in 1889, the College was moved to Conway in 1890. In 1929 Henderson-Brown College was merged with Hendrix. In 1933 Galloway College. Erected by Historical Commission of North Arkansas Conference."
